Description
The Diocese of Qu’Appelle is looking for an Office Manager. The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office to ensure that it runs efficiently, through a wide range of administrative tasks. The Manager will also serve as receptionist, provide reliable support to the bishop and synod office staff, coordinate scheduling, act as secretary to diocesan committees, liaise with parishes and foster a climate of hospitality and support.
Duties:
Administrative/Receptionist
- Greet, assist and direct visitors;
- Direct phone calls and answer queries;
- Receive, record and direct correspondence;
- Mail letters/documents;
- Ensure that the office equipment is maintained;
- Order office supplies (including engraved plaques);
- Commissioner for Oaths (fees paid by the Diocese);
- Clerical duties as assigned, including bulletins, licenses, subscriptions, registers and directories:
- Act as recording secretary for Diocesan Council, Finance Committee, Executive Council, and other special meetings.
Facilities
- Collaborate with the janitorial staff, and order cleaning supplies;
- Arrange for annual fire extinguisher inspection;
- Ensure that the thermostats are programmed appropriately;
- Coordinate needed facility repairs;
- Serve as contact person for deliveries;
- Oversee and coordinate the care of the building, such as fire inspections, needed repairs.
This is a full-time position.
Salary: $32,014.05 plus benefits (CPP/ EI; Continuing Insurance; Group Insurance).
